Homemade Red Onion Beef Burger With Sweet Potato Wedges

This recipe is for 1-2 people 

Burger Ingredients

  • Pinch Of Sea Salt and Black Pepper
  • Half A Red Onion 
  • 1 Organic Free Range Egg
  • 1tsp of Coriander Leaf
  • 1tsp of Paprika 
  • 2 X Garlic Cloves 
  • 200g Organic Mince Beef

Sweet Potato Wedges Ingredients 

  • 2x Medium Sized Sweet Potatoes 
  • 1 x Schwartz Garlic & Herb Wedges Mix


1 .Pre Heat the over to 200 degrees for a fan oven or for gas oven it will be gas mark 6 and then put 1tbs of coconut oil or olive oil into a baking tray and then place the baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven.

2. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into wedges

3. The coconut oil/olive oil in the baking tray should now be heated up. Now add the potato wedges into the tray and turn over so that they are coated in the coconut oil/olive oil and then sprinkle over the Schwartz garlic and herb wedge mix and turn over the wedges so that the wedges are coated into the wedge mix. ( The wedges will be done once they are nice and soft they usually take around 40 minutes, use a fork to check the softness of the wedges when done)

4. For the red onion beef burger finally, chop half a red onion and the garlic cloves and then add to a large bowl

5. Now add the organic mince beef along with 1 organic free range egg, paprika, coriander leaf, a pinch of sea salt and black pepper.

6. After adding all the burger ingredients to the bowl mix everything together with your hands and then divide the mixture into 3-4 round burger shapes.

7. Butter 3-4 burger buns ready for when the burgers are done

8. Now that you have prepared the burgers and buns check the sweet potato wedges with a folk and turn them over and then put them back into the oven. “If the wedges are soft and look done then leave them out of the oven to one side”

9. Now heat up a frying pan with coconut oil or olive oil and then fry the burgers for around 5-6 minutes each side on a low to medium heat.

10. When the burgers are done put them inside the burger buns and add a couple of slices of cheddar cheese and then serve with the sweet potato wedges .

11.Add a side salad of your choice to the dinner plate and enjoy.
