The Best Schwartz Chilli Con Carne

Ingredients Needed

  • 1 x Green Pepper 
  • 4 x Closed Cup Mushrooms 
  • 1 x White Onion 
  • 1x Garlic Clove 
  • 1x Schwartz Chilli Con Carne Sachet
  • 250g Minced Beef
  • 1 x  400g Chopped Tomatoes
  • Tin Of 200g Kidney Beans
  • 1x 200g Butter Beans
  • 3-4tbs of Water
  • 1 Tea Cup full of Basmati Rice

Schwartz Chilli Con Carne 

This receipt is for 2-3 people it is very simple and easy to do. It will take you around 30 minutes from preparing the vegetables and cooking all the ingredients. 

1. First of all, add 2 and a half teacups of water into a medium-sized saucepan and turn on the gas or electric hob to heat up the water.

2. Whilst the water in the saucepan is heating up wash the paper and wipe away any soil that is left on the mushrooms using a kitchen paper towel

3. Now prepare the vegetable. Firstly chop the green pepper, onion, closed cup mushrooms, and garlic clove and then place them to one side.

4. Now that you have prepared all your vegetables you will now need to fry the minced beef on medium heat. Add 1 tbs of coconut oil or olive oil to the frying pan and fry the minced beef for around 3-5 or until the minced beef is browned off.

5. Once you have cooked the minced beef I’d recommend draining the liquid from the frying pan into a tin using either a sieve or colander and place to one side.

6. Now fry the pepper, onion, and mushrooms for around 2-3 minutes until soft and then add the cooked minced beef to the pan and mix together with the vegetables

7. Add the Schwartz chili con Carne sachet mix and stir into the minced beef and vegetables

8. Next add the chopped tomatoes, kidney beans, and butter beans and give everything a stir ( if it looks to dry I’d recommend adding a little bit of water around 5-6 tbs )

9. Once the chili con carne starts to simmer reduce the heat to low heat and place a lid on the pan for around 10 minutes stirring every 2-3 minutes.

10. Using a sieve give 1 full teacup of basmati rice a good wash with cold water before adding it to the saucepan with the boiling water ( rice usually takes around 10-12 minutes to cook please check the instructions on the packing for more specific timings)

11. After boiling the rice for 5 minutes reduce the heat to low and simmer for the remaining minutes.

12. Now serve and enjoy 🙂

For extras on the side I’d recommend having some garlic bread”
